The Statue Of Liberty
BackLocated on 12-acre Liberty Island in New York Harbour, the Statue of Liberty was a gift of international friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is one of the most universal symbols of political freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886 and was designated a National Monument on October 15, 1924. I was very pleased how well this photo turned out. I like the shadows cast upon the statue and the soft white clouds in the deep blue sky.

Be prepared on your visit to the lady to expect numerous and rigours security checks. Including taking off your shoes and having your hair blown up to stand on end, much to your embarrassment and friends laughter. Try to remember that she is a terror target so it’s all to protect you and others. Due to the risks of terrorist attack you can no longer travel up inside the body of the statue. However I still enjoyed the visit to the monument and it’s museum. Well worth a visit. |
